Make Me Lee Child
Some good humour in a another cracking good read.
This time Reacher finds himself at a remote railway stop in the prairie: Mother’s Rest. He is idly trying to find a tombstone that he’d heard about. As usual, he has nothing more pressing to do. Also as usual, there is a strange atmosphere in the ‘town’ and he gets into the fights we love to see him winning. Less usual, is the background in modern technology.
This Reacher book has particularly good humour. The phrase that sticks in all the fans minds comes from this one: Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth. It sums him up. Except for the having a plan, I guess.
I recommend this book for solid, good writing and great entertainment.
