Ever wondered where this phrase is from?

‘What a piece of work is a man.’

This is in Hamlet’s monologue to Rosencrantz and Guildenstein. Hamlet is either plainly extoling the wonders and virtues of mankind whilst being too depressed to fully appreciate human nature OR this could be criticism: that in spite of God’s wonderful creation, most individuals cannot truthfully be described a ‘good’.
