Amongst the many things forbidden to Abrin’s Wife during her first twenty-five years, is looking in the mirror. Abrin has one in his study, behind the closed door of a cupboard. When she is taken away from her home she is, at first, afraid to look into the mirror of her hospital bathroom. Eventually she gives into the temptation to discover what she looks like. The result? Guilt.
